Depuis notre arrivée à Naunihal, les filles nous demandent de leur apprendre la danse hip hop. Nous avons donc fait l'effort (non sans difficulté) d'apprendre des mouvements en regardant des vidéos sur internet et d'intégrer une chorégraphie de hip hop dans le spectacle.

Cours particuliers
Le fait d'être deux enseignants nous permet de séparer les élèves en plusieurs groupes, voire de prendre les élèves en cours particuliers, surtout lorsqu'il s'agit d'enseigner la guitare, la flûte, le mélodica ou le chant.
Nous essayons au maximum de construire un programme différencié pour chacune, selon ses capacités et sa motivation.

Prerana's newsletter
Voici la newsletter du mois de Mars 2012 de Prerana, l'association avec laquelle nous collaborons ici. Nous nous permettons de la publier sur notre blog car Priti Patkar y parle de notre travail.
Dancing is Divine!-That’s the experience of girls in Naunihal.
Theatre is a collaborative form of fine art that uses live performers to present the experience of a real or imagined event before a live audience in a specific place. The performers communicate this experience to the audience through combinations of gesture, speech, song, music or dance.
Since the 10th of February 2012 the girls of Naunihal have been part of a theatre workshop and they are dancing, springing, playing music and working on a script for their drama. To guide them through this is a couple Ms. Tamae Gennai and Mr. Pierre Deveaud from Switzerland who run the Saraswati Project. This couple is attempting to bring Theatre and Art workshops to the underprivileged children in India through a fusion of music, theatre, and movement. (more on their work www.tamiero.com in French).
In the words of Ms. Gennai and Mr. Pierre this workshop aims at;
• Helping girls of Naunihal to express their emotions through creative ways rather
than merely talking about it;
• Enabling them to be ‘themselves’ in front of others;
• Enabling them to accept themselves and others with all unique differences;
• Helping them gain self-confidence;
• Helping them explore their latent talents
Prior to coming to Naunihal Ms. Gennai and Mr. Deveaud conducted a similar workshop for underprivileged children living in the slums of Kolkata where they worked with an organization called "Tiljala Shed".
Ms. Janet Morier-Genoud and Ms. Francine Kandaouroff our long term partners from ASSKAM Switzerland introduced the work of Prerana to Ms. Gennai and Ms. Deveaud.
The girls of Naunihal will be a part of this theatre process for 2 months and are planning to put up a show on the 7th of April, 2012 in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.

Salaam Bombay, de Mira Nair (1988)
Encore un film en lien avec nos expériences ici (Merci à Nadège et Nico de nous l'avoir conseillé :-)). Ce film magnifique nous a aidé à comprendre les conditions des enfants des rues à Mumbai, en particulier quand ils sont confrontés au monde de la drogue et de la prostitution. A voir absolument!

Masques
Pour la scène centrale du spectacle où Dolly se fait agresser, nous avons choisi de faire une danse avec des masques. Nous nous sommes donc lancés dans la confection de masques en papier mâché...
Concernant les motifs à peindre sur les masques, nous n'avons laissé aux filles qu'une petite marge de liberté dans la création, ayant déjà remarqué à quel point les activités plastiques étaient dirigées en Inde.
Malgré cela, nombre d'entre elles étaient décontenancées à l'idée de devoir inventer elles-mêmes des motifs. La plupart ont donc copié avec une exactitude étonnante nos motifs improvisés!

Bawandar, de Jag Mundhra (2000)
Nous nous permettons de vous conseiller ce film inspiré d'une histoire vraie, retraçant la lutte d'une travailleuse sociale victime d'un viol collectif au Rajasthan. Ce film témoigne de la condition misérable des femmes en Inde (en particulier dans les campagnes et quand elles font partie d'une caste "inférieure"), ainsi que du sexisme et de la corruption présents dans le système judiciaire.
